How to join OUT & ABOUT
Out & About ADULT is open to adults (over 19) living at home
with family carers. We are currently very full and can only accept
referrals from single carers, older carers, and carers with health
needs of their own. But we assess each case individually.
Due to the fact that we run with Volunteers and only 3 part-time
members of staff, the person with a learning disability must be able
to look after their own personal care (eating, toileting etc).
We are unable to support people with challenging behaviour or
uncontrolled epilepsy because we would not be able to meet their needs
and keep them safe.
If you know someone would like to join us please download the referral form and
send it back in to the freepost address. (Its on the form).
Anyone can refer - family, social worker, keyworker.
Once we have received your form one of our project workers will
give you a call.
