The Sharing Caring Project (SCP) currently works with more than 500 families
of adults with learning disabilities across Sheffield. The project provides advocacy, accessible information,
group and individual help to suppoprt families in their caring role, and enable them
to plan for the future with greater confidence.
The SCP aims to work in partnership with statutory and voluntary services to remove
the barriers, inequalities and isolation faced by older family carers of
people with learning disabilities.
The SCP is currently funded largely by the Carers Grant and acts as a bridge, helping family carers
access the services, information and support they need.
Further information about SCP and their services can be found in the Carers Section.
